Mr.September Expresivepixie Waylon
|
I'm so excited that Sassy is Mr. September. Sassy just turned 2 on August 16th. She is about 8 pounds and comes
from StarsnStripes Pixie Bobs. I got her when she was about 12 weeks old. She is a full sister to SGC Rockme.
Sassy is my sweet little baby and only mine, as she is pretty much afraid of all people. She loves to have her tummy
rubbed, play with just about everything including the dog and she loves her catnip (after eating catnip, she thinks
she is the size of a Bobcat). Her favorite thing to do is sit in the windows and watch the birds.

Expresivepixie Waylon was my first venture into the world of Alters. He had just been neutered and was incredibly
shy but had a great look. Sharleen Horne agreed to let me take him and see if I couled get him into show condition.
I brought him into my house and he instantly disappeared. There were sightings of Waylon from time to time for
the nesxt three weeks. Under the sofa, behind the fridge, in a closet. I often do this with scared adults. Just let them
hang out for a while and get used to the house on their own time. Finally, one morning, Waylon popped up on the
bed, gave me a head butt and a meow, and told me he was ready to get to work!
The hair that came off from his first bath stopped up the bath drain for days. It took a week for him to forgive me
for the bath. Slowly, over the next two months, we practiced standing, traveling, meeting new people, playing with
toys and being a show cat. His first show was just for one day. He did fantastic, at least to me. He won one final out
of a possible 6, but he did great on the table and in the judge's cages, which was our goal. We showed off and on
for the next 10 months and managed to pick up his supreme.
On the way he fell in love with my HHPK (House Hold Pet Kitten) Candy, they became travel buddies. Face it,
retired studs can't turn away a pretty girl! Waylon is now in a new home along with another Expresivepixie girl and
Candy (who just received her #6 International HHPK plaque!) is fat and happy with another MEOW cat in a loving
home in Seattle.
