Today we pay tribute to those who have unflinchingly served their countries military. It was on this
day, in 1918, that World War One had finally come to an end. A year later, President Woodrow
Wilson proclaimed this day "Armistice Day" in honor of all those who had sacrificed so much during
that grisly war. Eventually, in 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower issued a proclamation in which
November 11th. was officially designated as a national holiday to honor all Veterans.

Here, we are honoring not only the Veterans of the United States but all of those with in our
international Pixie Bob community who have served and/or have family and friends who have bravely
stepped forward to serve their country. Such qualities deserve our utmost respect and admiration.

"As we take time to honor our veterans today, let us remember the blessings of freedom and
security they have fought for throughout our history. Perhaps more than anyone, these selfless men
and women in uniform recognize that the privileges we enjoy today were earned at a great cost, and
preserved with equal resolve and sacrifice." National Commander Edward W. Kemp Veterans Day

Day is done,
gone the sun,
From the hills,
from the lake,
From the skies.
All is well,
safely rest,
God is nigh.

Go to sleep,
peaceful sleep,
May the soldier
or sailor
God keep.
On the land
or the deep,
Safe in sleep.

Love, good night,
must thou go,
When the day,
And the night
Need thee so?
All is well.
Speedeth all
To their rest.
